Why choose AC Law Group for Parramatta Local Court?
Our co-founder 2017 NSW Australian of the Year Deng Adut, one of Australia’s best-known solicitors, is dedicated to Western Sydney (having been raised in Blacktown following his life as a child soldier in South Sudan). You can watch a short film Western Sydney University made about his life here.
To bring the best legal representation to the west and so clients no longer had to travel east to access high-calibre representation, he opened AC Law Group’s first criminal law office in Blacktown and its head office at Parramatta. He retains a third office in Sydney CBD as a central meeting point for other clients.
In an age where law firms lack identity and are run like McDonalds franchises, we are different in that when we say we believe in justice for all, we mean it. We are renowned for being a business that puts communities before commerce and people before profits. To ensure our clients have access to the best representation available we offer free first conferences, fixed fees, payment plans and give our solicitors discretion to reduce prices on a case-by-case basis.
We have a firsthand knowledge of Parramatta magistrates and judges that comes with having an actual presence in the community we serve unlike other city firms.
Our Sydney, Blacktown and Parramatta criminal lawyers are experienced in all manner of criminal cases, meaning whether your case is a minor drug possession, drink driving or murder, your matter will be assigned to a senior lawyer who give you the representation you need when your licence or liberty is at stake.
If you require assistance, contact us on 24/7 on (02) 8815 8167 or make a website inquiry.

News – The west is the best for partners in crime (Parramatta Sun – 17 January 2017)
By Kylie Stevens
You’ll soon see more of Australian of Year finalist Deng Adut in Parramatta.
The former Sudanese child soldier turned refugee success story and business partner Joe Correy recently expanded their law firm AC Law Group to open an office in Church Street, Parramatta.
A lot of the firm’s work is pro bono with a focus on providing representation to people in western Sydney.
“Deng grew up in Blacktown and I grew up in Redfern so we wanted to open offices there first,” Mr Correy a former journalist said.
“We always intended to open in Parramatta. You don’t have to go to the city to get the best lawyers”
The proximity and convenience of Parramatta’s justice precinct appealed to Mr Adut, who juggles work with Masters of Law studies and public commitments.
“The judges and magistrates are great people and are kind to the west. Being part of western Sydney, that’s the vision of our work,” Mr Adut said.
Mr Correy added:
“We want to work with the community and strengthen relationships, especially with the police to make our clients’ lives easier.”
Mr Adut also works with schools to inspire young refugees and migrants.
“I want them to work hard and make Australia the best country in the world.”
Mr Adut is a strong contender for the Australian of the Year award, which will be announced next Wednesday.
“It won’t make a difference if I don’t get it. It doesn’t stop me from doing my work.”
